Located near the Samuel Beckett Bridge, Lucia’s finds its home beside The Oarsman, a pub
once frequented by James Joyce. Our restaurant is named not only after his beloved only
daughter, Lucia Joyce, but also after the daughter of our chef, creating a heartfelt connection
that spans generations.


Lucia, an artist and dancer, once shared a fleeting yet impactful encounter with Samuel Beckett,
a luminary of Irish literature. This connection, steeped in cultural richness and subtle depth,
inspires our menu, where traditional Irish flavors are delicately enhanced with creative touches
that reflect the nuance of Lucia’s expressive life.
